HOW ARE WE GOING TO DO THIS

The main goal of this course is to give you a set of practical and highly effective movement therapy tools.

STEP 1. We’ll start from a Reference Pose to connect with your body and calm your mind through pose and breath. This pose will help you to find your inner anchor, feel calm and free your mind from negative thoughts, and worries.

STEP 2. Next, we’ll locate emotions trapped in your body. Scan all parts of your body, from toes to head and find the most stiff and stressed parts.

STEP 3. After that we’ll release tension, stiffness and stress locked in these parts of your body through spontaneous movement. We’ll use various movement therapy tools depending on your needs.

STEP 4. Finally, we’ll explore dance movement tools that you can use to reboot your mind and body, boost your energy level and even manifest your deepest desires.

Lesson 1. Reference Position

Connect with your body and your breath, feel balanced, calm and confident on a physical and emotional level. This practice can help you when you feel overwhelmed with emotions, but there is no place and time to express those in the moment. In such a case you'll be able to regulate your emotions by leveling your body.


Lesson 2. Body Jazz

Created by Gabriella Roth, a dancer, and an innovator in the field of dance and movement practices, this practice aims to awaken your connection with the body. This practice helps to feel the signals of your nervous system and your body, and boost emotional intelligence.


Lesson 3. Mini-dance

Explore the shortest movement practice in this course, the mini-dance. Feel every impulse in your body and turn them into a small dance anywhere, anytime. This is a very important skill of presence in your own body, which is the basis of conscious and holistic life.


Lesson 4. Walking Dance

Set yourself free and dance not just at home, but maybe in the park, in the forest, or when you just walk down the street. The main task is to enjoy the free movement and improvisation!


Lesson 5. Releasing Tension

Remove the excessive emotional tension from the body through movement and dance. Release stress that your body has accumulated throughout life. This can be achieved quite smoothly and gently through this dance therapy tool.


Lesson 6. Power Dance

Learn how to come to a powerful and resourceful state through dance and movement. You've already learned a lot during this course and it's time to amplify your abilities.


Lesson 7. Dream Dance

This practice will help you to visualize your dream and manifest it into reality through dance.

Anna Trish, the author of the Dance Yourself course, is a psychologist and dance movement therapist. Over 8 years she has been hosting offline and online events helping people to safely release emotional baggage and break free from limiting beliefs about their life. In 2018 Anna was a speaker at an International Integral Dance Therapy Forum and since then has been organizing workshops and courses on dance and movement therapy abroad.
