In this online course for beginners Alisa Shine, an international belly dance artist and instructor will break down the basic of belly dance in an easy yet fun way. After learning basic moves you will have a chance to practice combinations to let all you have learned settle in your body.

The course for beginners, who wants to learn basics of belly dance, tone and loosen up a tight body, improve flexibility, plasticity and boost self-esteem!
The course focus
This course focuses of the very basic moves of belly dance and consists of three parts:
- Safety & posture, a warmup, and upper body work (including the belly)
- Hip work (lower body work)
- Belly dance combinations
Why choose this course?
All the belly dance moves can be divided in three categories: staccato-like moves (pops & locks), flowing moves (circles, rolls etc.) and shimmies. We are going to work with all these types of moves, so be patient and repeat the moves as many times as you need until it sinks into your body.
The main Arabic rhythm we are going to use during this course is baladi (masmoudi saghir). You will hear it in most of the training videos.
I have been teaching and performing belly dance around the world for over 12 years (Europe, Asia, Australia) and feel very passionate about passing the love for the dance to others. My students are generally women (and sometimes man) of all ages (the most senior student is 82!) so safety is my main priority.
My goal is to teach you to gain a better control over your body, to loosen up tight chest and hip area, to help you discover hidden abilities of your body through belly dance!

Alisa is a judge and presenter at international belly dance competitions. She teaches belly dance classes worldwide online and face-to-face.
